Contract Packaging
Our Contract Packaging Division located in Wangaratta and Wodonga is a thriving part of Merriwa specialising in co-packing, reclaim work, product inspection and overflows, as well as warehousing and logistics solutions.
We have modern, flexible and scalable facilities and equipment, and can configure our packaging lines and layout to provide solutions for your packaging needs, with plant including;
- Flow wrapper
- Automatic L-Bar
- Sleeve wrappers and heat tunnels
- Glue gun and tape machines
- Semi auto sealers
- Stretch wrappers
- Various types of conveyors (roller and speed belt)
- Check weighers and metal detectors
We have the capability to run up to 11 product lines (work stations) on the production floor in Wangaratta, and 4 product lines in Wodonga. This allows flexibility in production, allowing us to co-pack multiple products for customers, and meet the demand of multiple time frames for multiple products.
Our Contract Packaging team members work in a full time or part time capacity, with a leadership team including production managers, line supervisors and disability support officers. In this Division, over 50% of our permanent team are supported employees and we also utilise a casual pool of employees throughout the year to cater for peaks in the production schedule that arise when there is demand in this Division.
Merriwa’s Packaging Division ensures our services and products are delivered to the highest standards, working with a number of large customers locally and across Australia. We assist our customers with a range of services, including; reclaim and inspection work, co-packing, labelling, warehousing and logistics, co-manufacturing and product development.
