COVID-19 has presented many challenges for organisations across the world. We have had to adapt to a new-norm of working from home, using technology for virtual meetings, craving social interactions, and only leaving our homes for essential purposes.
Lisbeth Long, Manager of Human Resources and Culture at Merriwa reflects on the past three weeks stating, “While these times have forced change upon our communities, they have also presented opportunities for us to be creative, be innovative, be kind, and value the people in our lives.”

In the past three weeks, we have seen all abilities team members create video content to share ideas, share stories, share visuals, be a part of video interviews, and chair a meeting online for the first time via Microsoft Teams. Incredible and inspiring.”
“Through this time of adversity, we have seen leadership, communication, positivity and support in creating a calm environment.
While we are still in the early stages of this new environment, there are already new insights on how we can be innovative in our service delivery across all divisions, from creating virtual experiences for customers, collaborating online with our teams, creating podcasts and online workshops, there is opportunity within adversity.”
Merriwa’s priority is the health and safety of their team, their customers and the community and will continue to operate guided by advice from Federal and State Government.
