Paul Crush is a part of Merriwa’s Packaging team and has recently started his Certificate II in Warehousing to complement his current role at Plant 3 in the warehouse.
Paul is thoroughly enjoying the course and attends training every second Tuesday in the Timbers Training room “The course has been really valuable in helping me understand the warehouse at Plant 3 better and getting to know other people’s roles and how we work together to work as a team. We work a lot on OH&S and get to do practical learning on-site as well as learning in the training room”.
Paul’s journey at Merriwa has been non-stop and he says he has kept learning and kept moving, “When I first started at Merriwa my role was mailing out packets of dog treats, then packing pallets, working on the lines in Plant 2, learning new processing there and working at my own pace”
“To be working in the warehouse in Plant 3 is great, I love working there and have made new friends. I feel very grateful to have a job to come to that I enjoy everyday, especially during COVID.”
