  • Show professionalism, passion, and represent Merriwa in a positive way
Hugh Elford Award for Excellence

Recognises team members who:

  • Lead by example and are exceptional role models.
  • Put their team and others first, offering support and guidance across the organisation.
  • Contribute through projects, new ideas, solutions, and uniting teams.
Jack Lyle Award for Achievement

Recognises significant achievements inside or outside of work, including

  • Personal: building new social networks, moving into independent living, engaging in community activities, learning new skills.
  • Professional: taking on a new role, upskilling, building confidence, working in a new division, or supporting colleagues.
Mary Sanders Award for Enterprise

Recognises team members who:

  • Are determined, proactive, and driven to succeed.
  • Seek opportunities to grow, take on new responsibilities, generate ideas, and develop skills.

Graham Gales Award for Quality

Recognises team members who:

  • Demonstrate personal growth through goal setting and achievement.
  • Show self-motivation, optimism, respect, and celebrate others’ successes.

Award for Safety

Recognises team members who:

  • Make outstanding contributions to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS).
  • Communicate safety messages effectively and promote a positive safety culture.
  • Lead by example in following and guiding safe work practices.
Ruth Belan Award for Developing Young People (MCS)

Open to the Merriwa Community Services (MCS) team only.

Recognises team members who:

  • Make an outstanding contribution to developing young people.
  • Engage youth in community, education, and/or employment in innovative ways.
  • Serve as positive role models and go the extra mile to support youth development.
